Garibaldi Mysteriously Behind Barricades Yet Again

I was a little confused about the barricades perpetually surrounding Garibaldi but, as I pondered this, I realized perhaps it is to prevent skateboarding on the statue!

  1. When I walk my dogs early occasionally I see large branches from that adjacent tree have broken off and fallen on/near the statue. I was thinking maybe it’s because of that to keep people away. But skateboarding makes alot of sense.

  2. Hi Angela,

I definitely have noticed at times large branches fallen down nearby – well, mostly after the hurricane – originally I thought it was due to the trouble at the Arch, then the storm but now I do think it’s about the skateboarding. It does make sense, right? Maybe they should have left him where he was…? He just seems so lonely where he is now – except for the skateboarders, of course. 🙂
