UPDATE: POSTPONED; NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.
Back in December 2011, the New York Times wrote about artist Kristin Jones and her idea for Arbor Day 2013: a “24 hour multi-media project” honoring the Hangmen’s Elm at Washington Square. I wrote about it here. At the time, Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe sounded a bit skeptical. I hadn’t heard anything more but, now, as that date nears, Ms. Jones is coming before Community Board 2′s Parks Committee Wednesday, February 6th, to discuss the idea.
